The Alternative Assets Division

Private Equity Insight is part of the Alternative Assets Division (AAD) (the words “Alternative Assets Division (AAD) should link to www.im-alternativeassets.com) of Incisive Media. The AAD has been collecting in-depth, verified data on European private equity backed transactions since it was formed (originally as Initiative Europe Ltd) in mid 1988. Initially, this activity focused on Europe’s burgeoning market for management buyouts, though data on other types of deals began to be fed into Private Equity Insight in the early 1990s (for UK transactions);data surrounding non-buyout deals in Continental Europe has been added to the database since the mid 90s.

Direct contact between our editors/researchers and private equity deal-doers, advisers, fundraisers and institutional investors is at the heart of the division’s research methodology.
